About the Sourcing Specialist Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join its team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on managing the buying process for specific goods. The role involves applying sourcing policies and acting as an interface between suppliers and the entity regarding specifications and budgets, directly impacting the quality of work within the team.

Role Context and Impact

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for executing standard enabling activities and providing advice based on established policies and work routines within the sourcing discipline. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient procurement processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships, contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the purchase order to supplier payment process for defined commodities, ensuring alignment with organizational safety, quality, delivery, and cost measures.
Lead the reporting and control for one or more of the sourcing team's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Engage with internal customers to resolve fulfilment challenges effectively.
Develop and implement improvement plans for assigned commodities through daily management, supplier qualification, and negotiation.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within sourcing operations.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure business continuity.
Ensure all relevant data is kept up-to-date within the ERP system.
