About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Cluster Sales Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group and catering-related opportunities, focusing on maximizing revenue and ensuring service excellence. The role involves driving customer loyalty and growing account share on behalf of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Identify new group and catering business opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
Analyze market conditions, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, to inform sales strategies.
Close business opportunities for the property based on market conditions and specific property needs.
Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and manage property occupancy.
Understand the property's primary target customer and service expectations, providing tailored business solutions.
Respond to incoming group and catering opportunities that fall outside the Event Booking Center's parameters.
Utilize negotiation and creative selling skills to secure business and finalize contracts.
Effectively use sales resources and administrative/support staff.
Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including proposal generation, contract writing, and customer correspondence.
Support the company’s service and relationship strategy by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Provide excellent customer service consistent with brand standards, ensuring customer satisfaction before and during programs or events.
Collaborate with Event Management and/or Operations to deliver customer experiences that exceed expectations.
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
Develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base for group and catering sales.
Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct site inspections and create contracts as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, with no work experience required.
