About the Role

Kaplan Middle East & North Africa is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position requires a professional capable of both hands-on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) execution and the delivery of specialized IT and Cybersecurity training programs.

Role Overview and Scope

The successful candidate will manage GRC activities, including conducting audits, documenting risks, tracking metrics, and responding to incidents. A key component of this role involves delivering expert training across the GCC region, necessitating a trainer with robust worldwide experience in cybersecurity education.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive IT and Cybersecurity training programs for diverse audiences, ranging from introductory to advanced levels, primarily within GCC regions.
• Translate complex IT and Cybersecurity standards into clear, concise, and engaging training materials, including presentations, case studies, and practical exercises.
• Conduct interactive workshops and seminars, both in-person and virtually, ensuring a high level of participant engagement and understanding.
• Stay updated on the latest IT and Cybersecurity developments, pronouncements, and interpretations, integrating them into existing training content and developing new modules as needed.
• Provide expert guidance and support to trainees, addressing their questions and clarifying challenging IT and Cybersecurity concepts.
• Assess training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms and performance evaluations, continuously refining training methodologies and content.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify specific training needs and tailor programs accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Extensive experience, typically 5+ years, in applying and interpreting IT and Cybersecurity concepts.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a training or instructional role, with a strong track record of designing and delivering effective technical training programs.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Advanced knowledge of current IT and Cybersecurity standards, interpretations, and practical application.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations and adapt to diverse learning styles.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Relevant certifications in information storage and management and Azure Security are highly preferred.
