About the Role

Mindfield Resources is seeking a Director of Business Development to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is focused on identifying and cultivating future revenue streams, rather than solely managing existing business operations.

Key Objectives

The primary objective of this role is to act as a business builder, with a focus on identifying emerging revenue pools and demonstrating a proven ability to develop them into tangible commercial success. The position specifically targets mandates within the food, commodities, and agri-related business sectors across Saudi Arabia and Oman.

This role seeks individuals who have successfully transformed growth strategies into measurable revenue and value, emphasizing practical development over strategic formulation alone.

Demonstrated Experience

Candidates should possess a track record of achievement in areas such as:

• Developing new B2B propositions.
• Entering adjacent categories.
• Building consumer businesses.
• Commercializing innovation.
• Forming strategic partnerships.
• Taking New Product Development (NPD) from an initial idea to a meaningful revenue stream.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in business development and commercial growth.
• Deep experience across food, ingredients, agri commodities, or adjacent FMCG categories.
• Evidence of creating new categories, products, partnerships, or revenue streams.
• Understanding of B2B, B2C, or both, depending on business exposure.
• Experience in taking innovation and New Product Development (NPD) through to commercialization.
• Possession of commercial and marketing instinct to identify opportunities, coupled with the financial discipline to determine their worth.
• Saudi/GCC experience is strongly preferred.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves mandates across Saudi Arabia and Oman.
