About the Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Linux, AIX, and Container Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to architecting and leading operations for infrastructure services, with a focus on managing various versions of Linux, AIX, and Container Platforms.

Role Overview

The Linux, AIX, and Container Engineer will be responsible for the administration and support of mission-critical Linux environments hosted across physical, virtual, and hybrid platforms. This position involves comprehensive lifecycle management, performance tuning, and automation of operating system-related processes to ensure system stability and high availability. Key areas of focus include implementing automation strategies, enhancing security measures, and driving continuous system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Linux systems, including RHEL, CentOS, and SUSE, for critical infrastructure.
• Design and manage AIX servers within pSeries architecture, covering LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
• Automate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using tools such as Ansible and SaltStack.
• Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and provide permanent fixes through root cause analysis for Linux/AIX systems.
• Collaborate on disaster recovery readiness and participate in high-availability testing.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure services, responding to issues and assisting in related tasks.
• Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure projects and assignments.
• Support the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration records.
• Apply technical knowledge to address Linux/AIX infrastructure-related challenges.
• Follow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service delivery.
• Utilize technical skills to address infrastructure issues and incidents.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in the industry.
• A minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
