This full-time position for a POS Automation Engineer is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves applying automation engineering expertise within the company's projects.

Role Overview

The POS Automation Engineer will be instrumental in delivering high-quality automation and control-command systems for traction projects. This role involves close collaboration with various internal teams, including Engineering, Cybersecurity, Field Operations, and Support Functions. The engineer will also be responsible for the technical monitoring of subcontractors and providing essential technical support to field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform automation basic engineering activities for projects or programs.
• Define architectures for automation and control-command systems.
• Provide technical and interface specifications for automation systems.
• Ensure technical monitoring of subcontractors for automation programs and cubicles.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests for automation systems.
• Provide technical support to Field Operations teams for design-related issues.
• Participate in the Change & Configuration process, including managing automation configuration lists.
• Contribute to Return of Experience (REX) activities to improve future projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in automation engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in defining architectures for automation systems.
• Experience in providing technical and interface specifications.
• Familiarity with technical monitoring of subcontractors.
• Ability to assist with automation interfaces and risk management.
