About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Painter to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves applying various finishes to hotel surfaces, ensuring high standards of appearance and maintenance. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, dyes, and other finishes to hotel walls, ceilings, and furniture using appropriate tools such as brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through methods including stripping wallpaper, sanding, wire brushing, burning, water blasting, or using abrasives.
• Protect surrounding surfaces with appropriate materials during painting and place signs to indicate fresh paint.
• Clean and properly store paint, tools, and painting equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers for modifications to paint colors, dyes, or varnishes.
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures, report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Support team efforts to achieve common goals and ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to climb and descend ladders.
• Dexterity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is required.
• Related Work Experience: Candidates should have at least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• License or Certification: No specific license or certification is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the successful candidate will perform duties within a hotel setting, contributing to the overall guest experience and property upkeep.
