About the Role

Star is seeking an experienced and highly capable Private Subject Teacher to provide personalized, one-to-one academic tuition to students in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This part-time position focuses on delivering structured and engaging instruction across secondary and advanced academic levels, aligned with the student's curriculum and examination requirements. The role requires a specialist in their respective academic discipline who can deliver high-quality individualized instruction within a private family environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one tuition in a specialist subject.
• Align tuition with the student's curriculum, academic level, and examination requirements.
• Assess student performance and identify areas requiring additional support.
• Strengthen subject knowledge and address gaps in understanding.
• Support homework, coursework, assignments, and school assessments.
• Prepare the student for relevant external examinations.
• Develop effective revision, examination, and independent study techniques.
• Prepare tailored learning materials, exercises, and extension activities.
• Monitor academic progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Challenge the student appropriately to support strong academic outcomes.
• Build confidence, motivation, and independence in the student.
• Communicate professionally with the family regarding academic progress and priorities.
• Coordinate with the student's school or other educators where required.
• Maintain a structured, positive, and encouraging learning environment.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with 2-5 years of experience and excellent knowledge of their specialist discipline. Applicants should demonstrate a proven ability to support students at secondary and/or advanced academic levels.

• Excellent knowledge of a specialist subject.
• Strong understanding of the British curriculum or another recognized international curriculum.
• Experience teaching at secondary and/or advanced academic levels.
• Familiarity with relevant examination specifications and assessment requirements.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strong examination preparation and academic support capabilities.
• Ability to tailor tuition to an individual student's learning style and academic profile.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, engaging, and academically rigorous teaching approach.

• Confidence working independently within a private household.

Working Arrangements and Compensation

This is a part-time private teaching position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Teaching hours will primarily be arranged around the student's school timetable and academic commitments, requiring reasonable flexibility. Additional support may be required during examination periods, revision periods, school holidays, or other important academic stages. Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Travel and Confidentiality

Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to maintain continuity of the student's education. Due to the private nature of the appointment, the Teacher must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion regarding the student, family, household, schedules, travel arrangements, and any other private information encountered during the appointment. Disclosure, publication, photography, recording, or sharing of confidential information without prior permission is strictly prohibited.
