About the Role

Sahra Star is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Procurement Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in managing procurement and contract activities within the general contracting sector, particularly for building construction projects.

Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, from supplier engagement to contract finalization. This includes ensuring that all materials and services acquired meet technical specifications and project requirements, while also optimizing costs and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in both local and international procurement environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute local and international procurement processes.
• Engage with suppliers, conduct negotiations, and secure favorable terms.
• Analyze and compare quotations rigorously to ensure compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and project timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in the General Contracting sector, with a preference for Building Construction projects.
• At least 4 years of experience specifically in Procurement & Contracts.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Procurement Engineer within the Saudi market.
• Proven experience in both local and international procurement, including effective supplier management.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and compare quotations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Good technical and technological knowledge relevant to the scope of procurement work.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
