About the Opportunity

CG Resourcing Ltd is supporting a leading international contractor in recruiting a Senior Cost Controller for a major stadium construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing project finances for an upcoming FIFA World Cup venue, ensuring robust financial oversight and control.

Role Purpose and Context

The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for establishing and maintaining comprehensive cost control systems, ensuring accurate financial monitoring, and providing critical insights into project expenditures. This role involves close collaboration with various project teams to uphold financial discipline and support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle, contributing directly to the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost control systems, procedures, and reporting structures.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, cost-to-complete analyses, and financial performance indicators.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
• Analyze project productivity, resource utilization, and cost trends.
• Support contract administration by monitoring commitments, variations, claims, and subcontractor costs.
• Review and validate progress measurements and their impact on project financial performance.
• Provide management with timely forecasts of final project costs and potential risks or opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and financial control procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in engineering, quantity surveying, or a similar relevant field.
• At least 10 years of experience working as a cost estimator on complex building, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects.
