About the Supervisor Stewards Role

W Hotels is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor Stewards to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency within our kitchen and banquet services.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Supervisor Stewards will direct and assist the Stewards team to maintain efficient cleanup operations and uphold appropriate cleaning standards. This role provides essential support to kitchen and banquet services, assists management with various employee-related tasks, and ensures adherence to company policies and guest service standards.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Direct and assist Stewards to ensure efficient cleanup operations.
• Verify and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning processes.
• Provide assistance with Banquet plate-ups.
• Support cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, including providing necessary items.
• Aid banquet and buffet services by transporting items and ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Return cleaned items to their proper storage locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.

Leadership and Team Support

• Assist management in the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching of employees.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related work environment.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Certifications: No specific license or certification is required for this role.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
