About the AML Internship

Tabby is seeking an AML Intern to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience within the Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) department, supporting critical functions aimed at mitigating financial crime risks across the company's operations and products. The role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of professional experience, providing a foundational understanding of AML compliance in a dynamic fintech environment.

Role Purpose

The AML Intern will contribute to the team's efforts in monitoring and managing financial crime risks. This involves assisting with various aspects of AML compliance, from customer due diligence to transaction monitoring and investigations. The position plays a supportive role in ensuring Tabby adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies related to financial crime prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the AML team with customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Assist with reviewing transaction monitoring alerts and identifying potentially suspicious activity for further investigation.
  • Support sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media screening and escalation processes.
  • Assist with AML investigations by gathering relevant customer, transaction, and account information.
  • Maintain accurate AML records, case documentation, and supporting evidence.
  • Support the preparation of AML reports, dashboards, and management information.
  • Conduct research on AML, financial crime, sanctions, and regulatory requirements to support the team.
  • Assist with identifying and escalating potential AML and financial crime risks in line with internal policies and procedures.
  • Support periodic reviews and updates of AML procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve AML-related queries and ensure timely completion of required controls.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 0 to 1 year of experience in a related field, suitable for an internship position.

Work Environment and Location

This is an internship position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The intern will work within a professional team environment, contributing to the financial crime prevention efforts of Tabby.
