Key responsibilities include leading client discussions, negotiating technical scopes, and approving designs across electrical and mechanical disciplines. This involves conceptual, schematic, and detailed design oversight for systems such as UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, cooling, public health, Building Management Systems, and fire protection. The role also entails developing standardized, repeatable data center solutions to enhance consistency and efficiency across regions.

The Associate / Associate Director will be the technical authority, accountable for design integrity, budget adherence, schedule management, and stakeholder coordination. Continuous engagement with the global data center engineering community to identify emerging technologies and best practices is also expected. Mastery in CSA & MEP disciplines and the application of advanced engineering analysis tools are essential.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in planning, designing, and delivering large-scale data centers, including multiple Uptime Tier III/IV projects, is required. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate stakeholders in complex environments is essential.

In-depth knowledge of MV/LV power distribution, UPS, emergency generators, CRAC units, economizers, chilled-water systems, VFDs, fire detection/suppression, BMS, and DCIM platforms is necessary. Strong understanding of the latest data center system trends and technologies, such as liquid cooling, is highly desirable. Familiarity with local and international codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, ISO 50001, ISO 27001, PDPL, and ESMA, is expected.

Desirable Professional Certifications

Professional certifications such as Uptime Tier Certified Professional, PMP, LEED AP, or BICSI RCDD are highly desirable. Experience with fast-track design/build projects or multiple significant upgrade projects for large-scale technical operations or compute farms is also preferred.
