About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking an Assistant Manager for Food & Beverage to oversee assigned food and beverage operations. This full-time position in Riyadh requires a candidate with 2-5 years of relevant experience, focused on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining operational standards, and achieving financial objectives.

Core Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to service. This includes actively coaching employees, responding proactively to concerns, and motivating the team to resolve guest and employee issues effectively. The role also involves taking ownership of guest complaints, ensuring their satisfactory resolution, and building relationships to encourage repeat business.

Guest Experience Management

A key aspect of this role is delivering exceptional customer service. The Assistant Manager will be expected to quickly and proactively address guest concerns, understand and implement the brand's service culture, and set clear service expectations for all guests. This includes taking responsibility for resolving guest issues until they are fully addressed and ensuring guest satisfaction through diligent follow-up.

Operational Support

In addition to direct guest and employee management, the Assistant Manager will support overall hotel operations. This includes ensuring compliance with all corporate accounting procedures and assisting the General Manager as needed with annual Quality audits. The role requires a proactive approach to operational efficiency and adherence to established standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet specific educational and experience criteria. A high school diploma or GED is required along with 3 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, coupled with 1 year of relevant experience, will be considered.
