About the Bartender Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, ***, part of Marriott International, is seeking a dedicated Bartender to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for delivering the exceptional luxury service that The Ritz-Carlton is renowned for, guided by its "Gold Standards". The Bartender will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for guests through professional beverage service and meticulous bar operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders for guests precisely according to specified recipes, utilizing accurate measuring systems.
• Set up and maintain the cleanliness and optimal condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and all associated tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks as required.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, ensuring adequate availability.
• Transport necessary supplies to the designated bar set-up area.
• Wash soiled glassware promptly and efficiently.
• Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables, placing them in the designated collection area.

Guest Experience and Service Standards

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation for their patronage.
• Communicate with guests and colleagues using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members, supporting collective goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and service standards.

Operational Compliance and Financial Handling

• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for bar supplies.
• Process all payment methods accurately and efficiently.
• Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Secure coolers, cabinets, and storage areas at the end of the shift.
• Complete all assigned closing duties thoroughly.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are consistently clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Read and visually verify information presented in various formats, including small print.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience in a similar role.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• License or Certification: None specified.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capacity to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
