About the Opportunity

Parsons Corporation is seeking a BIM Coordinator, a Saudi National, to join its full-time, site-based construction supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to a significant public realm development project located in Diriyah, focusing on creating enhanced urban environments.

Project Context and Role Purpose

The Diriyah development encompasses a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The program's objective is to establish a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well-being. The BIM Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting this objective by ensuring the quality and coordination of CAD and BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review CAD and BIM models provided by contractors or other parties to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify clashes, conflicts, and other issues.
• Provide comments and lead workshops to present identified issues, collaborating with all stakeholders to achieve resolution and escalating matters for decision as required.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, including both textual and graphical content, on all aspects of CAD engineering design, covering site design, building design, streetscape, signage, landscaping, and lighting.
• Deliver presentations as needed to project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning staff to resolve design-related issues.
• Review contractor proposals and provide necessary comments.
• Offer technical advice on design elements.
• Prepare Technical Scopes of Work for projects undertaken by design engineers.
• Execute any tasks within the related field as assigned by the Senior Resident Engineer or Technical Manager.
• Generate progress reports pertaining to the BIM scope of work in alignment with the contract schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Candidates should possess typically 8 or more years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Demonstrated potential to perform effectively in a lead capacity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
• A thorough knowledge of current technology relevant to BIM and engineering design.
• Proficiency in selecting and applying appropriate engineering software for project use.
