About the Role

Adesso GCC is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join its team, focused on delivering enterprise-level products for local and global markets. This role is essential for transforming raw data into actionable insights to support strategic business decisions. The analyst will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and the evolution of data ecosystems.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand data requirements, build analytical dashboards, and deliver critical intelligence across insurance operations, financial performance, and customer analytics. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Grafana, tailored to business stakeholder needs.
• Build and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scorecards, trend analyses, and performance dashboards for executive and operational audiences.
• Enable self-service analytics by creating reusable data models, templates, and guided analytics for business users.
• Establish and enforce data visualization best practices, ensuring consistent branding, accessibility, and layout standards.
• Automate scheduled reports and alerts to reduce manual reporting efforts.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse (EDW), including dimensional modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
• Create and maintain semantic data models, calculated measures, and hierarchies optimized for analytical consumption.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, aggregation, and transformation for reporting and analytics use cases.
• Ensure data definitions, lineage, and cataloging are maintained for all BI assets to support data governance.
• Respond to ad hoc data analysis requests from business teams, delivering timely and accurate insights.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Alteryx, SSIS, or similar platforms to ingest and transform data from source systems.
• Monitor ETL job execution, manage failures, and ensure data loads complete within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Integrate data from core insurance platforms, CRM systems, financial systems, and external regulatory feeds.
• Implement data validation rules and quality checks within data pipelines to ensure data integrity.
• Manage the impact of source system changes on downstream ETL pipelines and BI reports.
• Collaborate with business owners, finance, operations, and compliance teams to translate analytical requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Maintain thorough documentation of data models, dashboard designs, ETL logic, and data dictionaries.
• Provide training and ongoing support to business users on BI tools and self-service capabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role.
• Proven hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
• Solid experience designing and developing ETL workflows using Alteryx, SSIS, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated experience working with data warehouses, dimensional models, and large datasets.
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience in the insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulatory reporting requirements (SAMA, ZATCA) is considered an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), Tableau Desktop Specialist/Certified Associate, Alteryx Designer Core/Advanced, or equivalent BI/analytics certifications, or OCI Certification are preferred.

Required Skills

• Data Visualization Tools: Power BI (Desktop, Service, Embedded), Tableau (Desktop, Server), Grafana, or equivalent BI platforms.
• ETL / Data Integration Tools: Alteryx Designer, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or similar.
• Data Warehousing Concepts: Dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle Data Warehouse Cloud Services, or on-premises DWH platforms.
• Query Languages: Advanced SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), DAX (Power BI), MDX, and familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS, No SQL, document base, and schemeless databases.
• Cloud Platforms (preferred): OCI, Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Analysis Services), AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Python, or Bash for task automation and data pipeline scripting.
• Version Control: Git-based version control for BI assets and ETL scripts.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and data storytelling abilities, high attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy and quality, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborative teamwork, and a proactive mindset.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Adesso GCC offers modern working hubs with remote work flexibility. The company operates with agile and lean structures, facilitating fast decision-making processes. This role is open to Saudi nationals only.
