This full-time position is critical for supporting sales growth and customer engagement for specialty and commodity water treatment chemicals across the Kingdom.

Role Overview and Context

The Chemical Sales Engineer / Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing customer engagement for water treatment chemicals throughout Saudi Arabia. The role encompasses technical sales, customer relationship management, and business development, requiring close collaboration with internal technical teams and regional sales leadership. As Gradiant's operations in KSA are in an early stage, the successful candidate will work independently, managing both commercial and coordination activities essential for establishing and expanding the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of customer relationships across industrial sectors, engaging with operations, maintenance, and procurement teams to understand specific requirements.
• Assist in promoting water treatment chemical programs for cooling water, boiler systems, RO, and wastewater applications.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams to support solution proposals and participate in technical discussions and product presentations.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts, supporting the expansion of product applications within customer facilities.
• Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and follow-ups for sales opportunities.
• Support sales activities across key industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power and utilities, and Water and wastewater sectors, building a basic understanding of customer processes and treatment requirements.

Market Engagement and Internal Coordination

• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain an active field presence, traveling extensively across KSA to support customer engagement and sales activities.
• Work with appointed distributors and channel partners to support business growth, participating in joint customer visits and technical discussions.
• Coordinate with internal teams including technical support, supply chain, and finance to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in order processing, follow-ups, and basic reporting.

Required Experience and Competencies

Candidates should bring 5-10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following key competencies:

Work Environment and Additional Details

This is an individual contributor role, requiring flexibility to support multiple functions during the initial business setup phase in Saudi Arabia. The position involves extensive travel within KSA to support customer engagement and sales activities.
