About the Role

Canon EMEA is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing first-line technical support and troubleshooting for Canon products, ensuring high service quality and customer satisfaction. The Resident Engineer will be based in Riyadh and will contribute to the ongoing development of service performance within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line troubleshooting and root cause analysis for standalone and connected Canon products within the portfolio.
• Achieve a high first-time fix rate and minimize recalls through efficient use of labor time and parts.
• Report on labor and parts investment, and counter-reading using the CAESAR (Canon European Service Admin Coding) structure.
• Optimize stock inventory and rotation, balancing it against return-to-fit (RTF) visits.
• Identify and signal commercial opportunities to the sales and marketing department using 'Onsite-Insight'.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the team and overall service performance.
• Understand customer requirements to support the functional approach of the Solution Business Strategy.
• Liaise and report back to relevant account managers on customer issues.
• Identify super-users and provide appropriate training on installed Canon products and software, including printer drivers and features.
• Seek opportunities to develop other areas of clients' businesses and coordinate with the account manager accordingly.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar technical support or engineering role. A strong understanding of product troubleshooting and customer service principles is essential for this position.
