About the Role

Astek is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services for one of our clients. The Cloud Engineer will contribute to maintaining system reliability and cost-effectiveness while supporting business applications and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, manage, and maintain public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
Administer cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backups, and disaster recovery.
Monitor cloud performance, availability, and reliability; troubleshoot incidents and service disruptions.
Implement cloud security controls, policies, identity management, and access controls in collaboration with IT Security teams.
Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Support migrations from on-premises environments to the cloud.
Maintain cloud documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
Optimize resource utilization and costs through capacity planning and continuous improvement.
Address audit and compliance observations with timely corrective actions.
Participate in on-call support rotations, including off-hours.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
4–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud administration.
Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure and cloud services.
Technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Administrator or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer, are an advantage.

Required Skills

Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents and participate in on-call rotations.
