About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Commercial Leader, Saudi National, to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading one of Amazon's store businesses in KSA, holding full P&L responsibility. The successful candidate will manage a high-performing team focused on growing the business by enhancing fundamental operations, launching new initiatives, and delivering a superior shopping experience for customers in Saudi Arabia, featuring an expanded selection of products and brands with compelling content.

Business Leadership and Strategy

The Commercial Leader will provide strategic direction for the business team and across the company, ensuring accountability for key performance metrics. This includes overseeing vendor and merchant management, in-stock rates, and product management to drive increased selection, unit growth, and inventory turns. The role requires translating business metrics into actionable plans to enhance category performance and achieve year-over-year progress.

Operational Excellence and Innovation

This position is responsible for driving continuous innovation aimed at improving the customer experience and strengthening vendor relationships. The leader will provide local input for defining the customer experience, representing it to senior executives, vendors, third-party merchant teams, and the category team. Collaboration with central company-wide teams in Technology, Operations, and Merchant Services is essential to establish and optimize processes for efficient resource utilization. Identifying new approaches to improve selection and category awareness for long-term performance management is also a key aspect.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the KSA store business with full P&L accountability.
Oversee vendor and merchant management, in-stock management, and product management.
Drive innovation to enhance customer experience and strengthen vendor relationships.
Provide local insights for customer experience definition and represent them to stakeholders.
Collaborate cross-functionally to establish and optimize operational processes.
Translate business metrics into actionable plans to drive category performance.
Implement sustainable process improvements for consistent category growth.
Identify strategies to improve selection and category awareness.

Team Leadership and Development

A core responsibility involves the effective management of a high-performing team. This includes focusing on talent acquisition, developing team members, and fostering an environment that encourages expertise and results delivery. The leader will motivate the team to continuously improve business fundamentals and launch innovative initiatives.
