Data Analytics Lead Specialist

About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a Data Analytics Lead Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on enhancing the adoption and effectiveness of advanced analytics across the organization.

Advanced Analytics Management

• Grow the adoption of advanced analytics across ZATCA by proactively identifying use cases and tools to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Review and enhance the current advanced analytics portfolio.
• Assess the utilization and effectiveness of advanced analytics solutions across business units and improve their impact.
• Review existing infrastructure for analytical product development and hosting, proposing new collaboration platforms (*, Alteryx, SAS, Data Robot) to ensure efficient collaboration, archiving, and utilization of products.
• Increase awareness of advanced analytics within ZATCA through educational sessions on analytical topics, encouraging departments to improve operations via advanced analytics.
• Explore and prioritize advanced analytics use cases to support ZATCA’s strategic objectives.
• Develop Proof-of-Concept analytical solutions to validate the effectiveness and impact of ideated use cases.
• Develop complex and impactful analytical models and solutions, leveraging machine learning and/or deep-learning techniques for internal or external stakeholders.
• Define and scope requirements for developing advanced analytics-enabled products.
• Perform complex reactive data analysis or develop analytical models to support external and/or internal stakeholders in answering strategic questions.
• Define Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for various advanced analytics products in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
• Translate BRDs and SLAs into a set of actions and tasks to deliver products within required timeframes and quality standards.
• Manage external requests and optimize workload allocation.
• Manage communication with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of requests and advanced analytics products.
• Align with stakeholders on delivery plans, objectives, and desired outcomes.
• Monitor the satisfaction of external stakeholders and implement corrective measures to improve delivery.

Organizational Operations

• Adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure controlled and consistent work execution.
• Assist in resolving escalated problems and provide necessary support to junior team members to ensure efficient work delivery.
• Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel to ensure proper resolution of cases and issues.
• Perform other duties as requested.

People Management

• Train junior staff on various job activities to facilitate knowledge transfer, where applicable.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates and junior staff.
• Support junior staff or direct reports in executing their duties according to established policies and processes.
