About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking an ENGINEER TESTING & COMMI for its operations in the Central Region, specifically in Riyadh. This is a full-time position for an individual with 0-2 years of experience.

Role Overview

The primary function of this role is to commission and conduct tests on power plants prior to their operational phase. This involves ensuring all systems are functional and meet required standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project and new equipment test reports, including necessary corrections.
• Document non-conformances and track troubleshooting efforts.
• Conduct functional testing according to specified schemes.
• Test and coordinate activities during customer inspections.
• Resolve technical issues encountered during power plant testing and site commissioning.
• Execute site testing and commissioning activities for substations or power plants.
• Perform testing and commissioning of substation equipment, including relays, switchgear, and transformers.
• Adhere to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning processes.
• Provide technical support by reviewing design documents before their release.
• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain relevant records in consultation with the department manager.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions and maintain records in consultation with the department manager.

Leadership and Team Management

This role involves training subordinates and forming effective teams to ensure work is completed efficiently. The individual will provide leadership, coaching, and direction to team members, delegating tasks appropriately to maintain morale and motivation.

Performance and Problem Solving

Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets within delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively for cost and time efficiency. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks. Resolve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed. Coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities. Comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
