About the Role

Albaap is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for the on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm and fire protection systems. The successful candidate will ensure all systems meet project requirements and are delivered in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute installation activities for fire systems in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and project scope.
• Ensure proper work execution for conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, including fire detection devices (smoke/heat/beam), control panels, power supplies, batteries, sounders, strobes, and interfaces as applicable.
• Perform system testing and commissioning, encompassing point-to-point verification, loop/zone testing, functional tests of alarms, indicators, and monitored points, and accurate recording of results using test sheets and checklists.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including diagnosing faults (open/short, wiring issues, panel faults, device failures), replacing or repairing defective components, and restoring system functionality.
• Manage technical coordination on-site with client representatives, consultants, the main contractor, and MEP teams.
• Support documentation and handover processes, including as-built updates, O&M manuals collection, commissioning reports, test records, and closeout documentation.
• Ensure continuous safety compliance and adherence to safe work practices, including LOTO, permits, and site HSE rules.
• Provide technical support for scheduled shutdowns and re-tests following corrective works.
• Report progress, issues, and risks to the Project/Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-1 years of proven experience in fire alarm installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
• Experience with both conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Strong ability to interpret shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and testing checklists.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of fire alarm system components and field installation standards and practices.
• Basic understanding of system interfaces (monitoring/control points) as per project scope.
• Familiarity with testing tools and measurement practices, such as multimeters and insulation/wiring checks.
• Proficiency in documenting test results and maintaining accurate records.
