Health Safety Environment Engineer

About the Role

Jazera Arabia Contracting is seeking an experienced Health Safety Environment Engineer (HSE Engineer) to manage health, safety, and environmental activities for road and bridge construction projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and Afif, Saudi Arabia, and requires a strong background in the construction sector.

Role Overview

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all health, safety, and environmental aspects across multiple construction sites. This is a fully field-based role, requiring regular presence on site to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment for all project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for construction activities.
• Monitor safety performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports.
• Coordinate with project teams to integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as an HSE Engineer.
• Proven experience in road and bridge construction projects is essential.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic construction environment across various sites in Riyadh and Afif. The position requires a proactive approach to safety management and continuous engagement with on-site teams.
