About the Role

Robert Walters is seeking an HR Director to join a respected organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role reports directly to the Chief of Shared Services and focuses on influencing and enhancing the employee experience while ensuring people remain central to organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and offboarding processes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that support organizational objectives and promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Lead talent management initiatives, including identifying high-potential employees, supporting career development programs, and ensuring robust succession planning across departments.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce needs and provide expert guidance on people management best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies through regular procedure reviews and documentation updates.
  • Champion employee wellbeing by introducing initiatives that promote work-life balance, mental health awareness, and job satisfaction.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the HR function by analyzing data trends, gathering staff feedback, and implementing process enhancements.
  • Support diversity and inclusion efforts by developing policies that encourage equal opportunities for all employees.
  • Manage HR budgets effectively to ensure efficient resource allocation for impactful projects and initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all matters related to human capital management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience managing the full HR cycle within large or complex organizations, with a deep understanding of best practices across recruitment, retention, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, learning & development, and offboarding.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic HR plans that align with organizational goals and foster an inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport at all organizational levels, demonstrating empathy, approachability, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment legislation in Saudi Arabia, combined with experience ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions if applicable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through periods of change by providing clear communication, support mechanisms, and tailored training opportunities.
  • Experience designing talent management frameworks, including succession planning programs.
  • A passion for employee wellbeing, demonstrated through previous implementation of wellness initiatives or similar projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data trends effectively and inform decision-making within HR operations.
  • Ability to manage budgets responsibly while prioritizing investments in people-centric initiatives.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development for self and team members.
