About the Role

Lenovo is seeking an IT Plant Local Support Engineer Application to join its manufacturing plant team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing on-site IT application support as the plant transitions from a startup phase to stable Business as Usual (BAU) operations. The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical manufacturing and plant applications.

Role Context and Objectives

The IT Plant Local Support Engineer will serve as a key resource, collaborating with local and global teams to support production operations and resolve application issues. This position also contributes to operational transformation initiatives, including the adoption of AI-enabled solutions, to enhance the plant's technological capabilities and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and improve enterprise applications across manufacturing, shopfloor, supply chain, and plant business functions.
• Configure application functionality based on defined business and technical requirements.
• Monitor application performance, investigate incidents, perform troubleshooting, and drive root cause resolution.
• Participate in application deployments, upgrades, patching activities, and lifecycle management initiatives.
• Contribute to operational transformation projects, including requirements analysis, testing, AI tool adoption, monitoring solutions, and application-related project coordination.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure application availability, reliability, and performance.
• Provide Level 2 support for production environments while maintaining documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in IT application support or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to support and maintain enterprise applications.
• Experience with application configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional IT teams.
