The Role: Laboratory Technician

DiaServ is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for executing a range of laboratory procedures critical to diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. The role supports the organization's mission by ensuring the precise handling of specimens, operation of equipment, and accurate documentation of results.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Prepare specimens according to established protocols.
• Follow quality control procedures.
• Document results accurately.
• Report any deviations or equipment issues promptly.
• Assist in calibration and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of samples.
• Strictly comply with safety and infection control guidelines.
• Collaborate with other laboratory and clinical staff to support efficient workflows and reliable diagnostic outcomes.

Education and Certifications

• Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Professional certification or licensure in laboratory sciences (where applicable) is an advantage.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong laboratory skills and practical experience in core laboratory procedures.
• Proficiency in handling and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Solid quality control knowledge and adherence to standardized testing protocols.
• Well-developed analytical skills to interpret test results and identify irregularities.
• Prior experience working as a laboratory technician or in a similar clinical laboratory role.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and proper specimen handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage time and tasks in a high-volume setting.

Work Location

This full-time position is based on-site in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation within a collaborative team environment dedicated to clinical diagnostics and patient care.
