About the Learning and Development Manager Role

EmiraTalent is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on creating and overseeing performance-enhancing training programs and tools for various business areas, including Brands, Hotel Operations, and Leadership development, across all regions and stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain training materials using established methodologies, catering to participant and leader formats, and adhering to regional and stakeholder specifications. This includes various delivery methods such as instructor-led workshops, e-learning, virtual learning, mobile learning, gamification, and video.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities and methods for training delivery.
  • Provide recommendations on training approaches, strategies, design methodologies, distribution, and evaluation of training content.
  • Create global and regional documentation and performance-enhancing training tools, integrating the strategic use of systems and products.
  • Direct the development of training programs with third-party vendors, collaborating on specifications, target audience selection, creative approaches, and reviewing training products.
  • Gather, develop, and manage best practices across all regions and stakeholders, integrating them into training documentation.
  • Liaise with global and regional learning teams and stakeholders to conduct training needs assessments and collaborate on content development and feedback.
  • Execute training for key stakeholders to enable them to provide expert services.
  • Certify regional trainers on training materials and mentor initial training sessions to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Support training deployment efforts across all regions and key stakeholders, sharing best practices and providing feedback. Assist regions with global rollout deployment activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant initiatives and issues for global and regional teams, training departments, field support, and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with and support regional teams to resolve hotel issues related to training content.
  • Monitor departmental budget lines, including estimates, invoice coding, tracking, and end-of-month reconciliation for projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three or more years of progressive work experience in instructional design and performance consulting, with demonstrated proficiency in developing training content for complex systems.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from inception through evaluation.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills for conveying technical and strategic information clearly and concisely to clients, vendors, senior management, and colleagues.
  • Effective presentation skills for presenting ideas, programs, or strategies to corporate and hotel colleagues.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe InDesign, Articulate Storyline, and Camtasia.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of hotel operations is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are considered a plus.
