About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Mechanic HVAC II to join their full-time team. This role is central to maintaining the operational efficiency and comfort of the property by ensuring all HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration systems function optimally. The position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in relevant mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.

Core Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature effectively.
• Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage to ensure efficiency.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other essential equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems and electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine maintenance for pools and spas.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.

• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining mechanical plants and related systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, electronic wiring, pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Ability to perform routine pool and spa maintenance tasks.

Physical Demands

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees.
• Capability to move in confined or elevated spaces.
• Navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
