Mechanical Vendor Inspector

About the Role

Applus+ is seeking a Mechanical Vendor Inspector for a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for conducting quality control and vendor inspection activities at manufacturing and fabrication facilities for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, and skids. The inspector ensures all work complies with project specifications, approved procedures, relevant codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vendor and fabrication quality control inspections at manufacturing facilities.
• Monitor welding, fabrication, non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional inspection, and other quality control activities.
• Conduct inspections in strict accordance with approved project specifications, industry codes, standards, and established procedures.
• Review and verify manufacturing, inspection, welding, NDT, and overall quality documentation.
• Monitor compliance with approved procedures and project-specific quality requirements.
• Identify quality deviations and provide support for the implementation of necessary corrective actions.
• Coordinate effectively with vendors, fabrication teams, and project quality control personnel.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection, particularly within manufacturing and fabrication environments for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, and skids.

This is a contract position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves performing inspections at various manufacturing and fabrication facilities as required by project needs.
