Role Overview

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Professor of Biomedical Sciences to provide academic leadership within a full-time capacity. This role involves graduate-level teaching, research supervision, and the development of innovative research programs in biomedical sciences.

Academic Leadership and Teaching

• Develops, organizes, and delivers graduate-level teaching across assigned biomedical disciplines, including molecular biology, genomics, immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
• Designs and implements curricula that adhere to international academic standards and Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements.
• Contributes to the development of interdisciplinary programs and strategic academic initiatives.
• Participates in faculty development and fosters a collaborative academic environment.

Research and Collaboration

• Establishes and leads independent and collaborative research programs aligned with KFSHRC's research priorities.
• Secures competitive research funding to support ongoing projects.
• Publishes research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, maintaining a minimum of two publications per year in reputable journals as per Alfaisal University policy.
• Collaborates with clinical, translational, and research teams across King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center and Alfaisal University.

Mentorship and Institutional Engagement

• Supervises and mentors PhD and MD-PhD students, ensuring the achievement of high-quality academic and research outcomes.
• Mentors junior faculty members and supports their professional development.
• Participates in academic governance, including active involvement in departmental, school, and institutional committees.
• Contributes to accreditation processes, quality assurance, and program evaluation in alignment with Ministry of Education (MOE) and National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) standards.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Professor position are required to have 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in biomedical sciences, encompassing academic leadership, graduate-level teaching, and successful research program development.

• Participates in self and others' education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
