About the Quality Manager Role

Amazon Now is seeking a results-driven Quality Manager to lead and implement quality standards for its quick-commerce operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position operates at the intersection of operations, vendor management, and customer experience, ensuring all delivered orders meet Amazon's high standards for accuracy, freshness, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, an operational mindset, and a passion for developing scalable quality frameworks within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and continuously improve quality standards across dark store operations, focusing on order accuracy, product freshness, and customer experience metrics.
• Own and manage key quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including defect rates, return rates, nPPM, and customer complaints, with accountability for performance against targets.
• Collaborate with Vendor Management and Category teams to establish and enforce vendor quality standards, compliance requirements, and corrective action processes.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality failures and implement systemic fixes across operations, sourcing, and logistics.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality audits, and inspection frameworks for inbound processes, storage, picking, and last-mile delivery.
• Partner with Technology and Business Intelligence teams to build quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms for proactive issue detection.
• Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization by coaching and upskilling operations and vendor-facing teams.
• Represent quality in cross-functional business reviews and escalate risks to leadership with clear action plans.

A Typical Day

A typical day involves reviewing daily quality metrics and dashboards to identify trends, anomalies, and areas requiring immediate attention. The Quality Manager will conduct quality audits across dark stores, assessing order accuracy, product condition, and adherence to SOPs. Engagement with operations teams to resolve live quality issues and ensure swift implementation of corrective actions is crucial. The role also includes following up on open RCAs, tracking progress on corrective and preventive action plans, and coordinating with vendors on quality complaints, rejections, and performance improvement initiatives. Daily and weekly operational syncs will be attended to provide quality updates and flag risks, alongside reviewing customer feedback and defect reports to identify recurring patterns. Maintaining quality trackers, audit logs, and performance reports is also a key part of the daily routine.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in quality management, preferably within operations or logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to define, implement, and improve quality frameworks and standards.
• Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with quality KPIs and performance tracking.
• Experience in vendor management and establishing vendor quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
