Reinsurance Broking Lead Specialist Transactional Services

About the Role

Marsh is seeking a Reinsurance Broking Lead Specialist, Transactional Services, to join its Operations team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring at least three days per week in the office. This role is open to Saudi Nationals only.

Role Overview and Initial Objectives

The Lead Specialist will be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of Reinsurance Broking. This position offers opportunities to enhance knowledge and leadership skills, including leading Change Management initiatives during system and process migrations. Within the first 30 days, the specialist is expected to gain in-depth knowledge of the service and role requirements. Competency in processes and systems should be achieved within 60 days. By 90 days, the specialist should be able to technically lead the team, serve as a point of contact for technical escalations and process improvements, and build relationships with clients, reinsurers, business units, and placing brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in knowledge-sharing forums across onshore and offshore locations.
• Collaborate with peers on complex reinsurance developments and provide training, mentoring, and guidance within the team for reinsurance service processing.
• Provide insights into complex technical jargon and clarify procedures.
• Participate in System Release Testing, including enhancements, regression, and bug reporting.
• Mentor and train team members for technical and professional growth.
• Manage an assigned client portfolio, including transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries, collateral, and timely system entry of client activity.
• Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications to resolve questions and secure reinsurer agreement and payment of claims and account balances.
• Work with Fiduciary and/or collections to assist with fund collection.
• Manage timely settlement of funds to and from clients, ensuring all payment warranties and conditions are met, and take ownership of the end-to-end process.
• Interact with other company areas (*, Compliance, Finance) on sensitive topics.
• Network with external groups to enhance technical knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in internal and external audits at the team level and ensure team adherence to compliance mandates.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in knowledge-sharing forums.
• Experience in transactional processing and managing client portfolios.
• Proficiency in understanding and clarifying complex technical jargon.
• Ability to mentor and train team members.
