About the Role

Hill International (Middle East) Limited is seeking a Scheduling Control Section Head (E2) to join their team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules utilizing industry-standard software.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to schedule milestones.
  • Identify and analyze potential risks and delays, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders for accurate schedule updates.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on project schedules to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Observe existing processes, analyze staff performance, and address deficiencies.
  • Train and mentor scheduling control staff.
  • Attend and schedule meetings as required.
  • Understand and meet all contract requirements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in project scheduling and control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project schedules and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Adhere to relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in planning and scheduling, including experience as a scheduling manager on large-scale projects.
  • Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in both field and home office environments.
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to lead a section and allocate workload effectively to the team.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products with minimal supervision, utilizing professional judgment and knowledge of technical planning, scheduling, and engineering/construction practices.
  • Professional proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and EPPM platform.

Required Skills

  • Skilled in verbal and written communication.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role based in Riyadh.
