The Role of Security Systems Specialist

RUA is seeking a dedicated Security Systems Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the safety and security of campus operations through the effective management and oversight of all security technology systems. The specialist will be the focal point for system administration, ensuring continuous functionality and compliance across all security platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee campus security technology systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, to ensure safe and secure campus operations.
• Maintain institutional control over all security systems, ensuring proper configuration, access rights, and system integrity.
• Monitor system performance and ensure continuous functionality of all security platforms.
• Act as the focal point for security systems administration, ensuring accurate system setup, updates, and user access management.
• Maintain system standards, protocols, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across all security platforms.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of security systems, identifying opportunities for upgrades and optimization.
• Support integration of security systems with other campus systems where required (*, access control, ID systems).
• Administer access control systems, including user access provisioning, modifications, and deactivation in line with policies.
• Monitor and manage CCTV systems, ensuring proper coverage, recording functionality, and system uptime.
• Oversee alarm systems, ensuring timely response, proper configuration, and coordination with relevant teams when alerts are triggered.
• Ensure all security-related incidents are accurately logged within systems and maintained for reporting and audit purposes.
• Conduct routine system checks and troubleshooting to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
• Maintain system documentation, logs, and user records to support compliance and operational transparency.
• Support investigations by providing system data, footage, and access logs when required.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in security systems management, preferably in campus, institutional, or large-scale environments.
• Proven experience managing access control systems, CCTV platforms, and alarm systems.
• Familiarity with integrated security systems and coordination with IT infrastructure.
• Strong ability to manage and administer multiple security platforms and systems.
• Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and technical teams for system maintenance and upgrades.
• Good understanding of security protocols, access governance, and incident management processes.
