About the Role

Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer Electrical to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing technical support and oversight for electrical construction activities within various projects, ensuring adherence to established standards and specifications.

Role Purpose

The Senior Construction Engineer Electrical provides essential technical support for the execution and control of electrical construction activities. This includes power distribution, cabling, lighting, earthing, and equipment installation, ensuring strict compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and electrical standards. The role supports site execution, coordination, quality control, progress monitoring, and technical documentation to ensure timely and proper delivery of electrical works in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical shop drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and design requirements.
• Assist in monitoring electrical installation activities on-site and provide technical guidance for correct execution of works according to approved documents.
• Supervise electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance (IR), continuity, and load tests, and support system commissioning to ensure operational readiness.
• Actively support QA/QC inspections of electrical works to ensure compliance with applicable standards such as NEC/IEC and project quality requirements.
• Identify and report non-conformances in electrical installations and support follow-up corrective actions to ensure quality compliance.
• Ensure all electrical activities comply with safety regulations and project HSE requirements, and support reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Maintain accurate electrical documentation, including test reports, site logs, and inspection records, to ensure full traceability of works.
• Prepare and maintain as-built records reflecting actual installed electrical systems to support project handover requirements.
• Support monitoring of electrical system readiness and commissioning activities to ensure successful completion and operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous SEC approval as an Electrical Engineer is mandatory.
• Proven experience of 2-5 years in HV/EHV substation or power plants projects.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and coordination for project execution.
