The Role: Senior Manager Audit & Assurance

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Manager Audit & Assurance to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and involves leading audit engagements, managing risk assessments, and ensuring the quality and integrity of audit processes. The Senior Manager will contribute to the firm's purpose of making an impact that matters for clients, people, and society.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify strategic audit and risk priorities for entities and communicate these to stakeholders, offering strategic insights.
• Ensure risk assessment procedures are integrated into audit planning, execution, and evaluation.
• Contribute to discussions on risks, materiality, and scope for audit reports, ensuring comprehensive coverage of relevant areas and wider business issues.
• Involve experts/specialists in audit planning meetings to discuss their involvement and set expectations for professional skepticism.
• Participate in group risk assessment and planning for component auditors, reviewing and evaluating their responses, and resolving identified issues.
• Apply knowledge of audit reporting analysis, including the Guide to audit reporting and industry-specific reports, when drafting new reports.
• Lead the audit team in revenue testing by utilizing process flow diagrams, understanding recognition policies, assessing controls reliance, and developing fraud risk approaches.
• Develop and review comprehensive project plans for complex engagements, including timescales, team coordination, contingency plans, and resource allocation.
• Communicate project plans and entity dependencies to management, negotiating overruns when deviations occur.
• Facilitate professional skepticism through early consultation in mandatory or necessary areas for informed judgment.
• Engage with firm quality control procedures, driving improvement in prior year testing and ensuring global audit imperatives are reflected.
