About the Role

This Senior Manager position within Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) focuses on the development portfolio, providing essential financial oversight and performance management. The role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience. This is a full-time position.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager – FP&A (Development) will be instrumental in the financial monitoring of development projects, including variance analysis, risk tracking, and management reporting. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the alignment between project controls and accounting systems. The position involves preparing comprehensive management reports, budget submissions, and project financial reviews, delivering actionable insights to senior finance leadership. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to maintain financial discipline, data integrity, and drive continuous process improvement across all development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the financial oversight of capital development projects, ensuring adherence to approved budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Prepare and consolidate management packs, executive summaries, and budget submissions for review by senior leadership.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify significant variances, and provide structured insights with recommended actions.
  • Manage monthly reconciliations between project systems and accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Review project schedule updates (*, Primavera P6) and assess the financial implications of risks, delays, and scope changes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support forecasting and planning activities.
  • Standardize reporting templates, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and action trackers across development projects.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Project Controls, and other FP&A teams to ensure process alignment and data consistency.
  • Contribute to automation and reporting enhancement initiatives within the Development FP&A function.
  • Support internal governance processes related to budget control, forecasting discipline, and financial transparency.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior analysts within the team, fostering accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of total experience in Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) within a real estate development environment.
  • Experience in development, construction, infrastructure, real estate, or large capital project environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations is required.
  • A background from a Big 4 accounting firm or Tier 1 consulting firm is considered advantageous.
