About the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Specialist, Central Laboratory to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for conducting comprehensive chemical testing of raw materials, ingredients, and final food products. The primary objective is to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and to identify and address any potential health or quality control issues. The Specialist will also be involved in various research and experimental activities within the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses.
• Apply advanced knowledge of food chemical analysis techniques, including GC-MS, IC, and HPLC.
• Execute routine tasks accurately, adhering to strict methodologies for all analyses.
• Design and conduct laboratory testing in accordance with standard operating procedures and ISO 17025 requirements, ensuring precise observations.
• Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
• Accurately record all data and results in specified forms, both paper and electronic.
• Submit test results after obtaining approval from laboratory management.

Laboratory Operations and Management

• Receive, label, prepare, and analyze samples efficiently.
• Organize and store all chemical substances, standards, and glassware in strict adherence to safety instructions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and assist with ordering necessary supplies to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a central laboratory setting, with a strong background in chemical analysis. Proficiency in techniques such as GC-MS, IC, and HPLC is essential. A thorough understanding of laboratory best practices and quality control standards, including ISO 17025, is required.
