Role Overview

El Seif Engineering Contracting is seeking a Sustainability Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to leading the environmental and sustainability agenda across our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that ensure our operations are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient, aligning with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sustainability programs to reduce carbon footprint, waste, and resource consumption.
• Create and implement company-wide sustainability plans aligned with corporate objectives and project-specific requirements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards, including LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and ISO 14001.
• Monitor, measure, and report sustainability metrics such as ESG reporting, GRI, CDP, and UN SDGs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and site staff to integrate sustainable practices into planning, procurement, and delivery phases.
• Monitor and manage the efficient use of energy, water, and materials, driving waste reduction and circular economy principles.
• Assess and mitigate environmental and social risks across operations and the supply chain.
• Engage and educate employees, suppliers, and stakeholders on sustainability policies and best practices.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulators to promote sustainable construction and achieve shared goals.
• Lead sustainability training and awareness programs for staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current on emerging trends, technologies, and legislation, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
• Develop partnerships with external organizations, NGOs, and government bodies to enhance sustainability initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in sustainability within the construction or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability assessment tools and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated knowledge of LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Experience with ESG, GRI, CDP, and UN SDGs reporting.
• Professional certifications such as LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor, or CEnv are highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to design and deliver sustainability programs that achieve measurable impact.
• Proficiency in optimizing energy, water, and materials use, and implementing effective waste-reduction practices.

Compensation and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. Compensation includes a performance bonus and merit increase, reflecting commitment to rewarding contributions and professional growth.
