About the Role

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves close collaboration with a sales representative to provide comprehensive technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The primary mission of the Systems Engineer is to support the sales organization in all technical aspects, encompassing pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales activities. This role requires a proactive approach to understanding customer needs and delivering effective technical solutions.

• Lead all technical facets of a sales cycle with enterprise customers, from initial RFIs to RFPs and RFQs.
• Manage projects and actively participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) in partnership with internal teams and customer/commercial partners.
• Understand and interpret customer technical requirements to develop solutions that exceed competitor offerings.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, working in close collaboration with the assigned sales partner.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet's threat protection capabilities.
• Position Fortinet solutions to customers through remote or in-person presentations, utilizing whiteboarding, technical documents, and customer discussions.
• Effectively manage time when handling multiple deals simultaneously to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer and prospect technical information within the company's CRM (Salesforce).

Technical Aptitude and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong aptitude for security technology, with specific knowledge in encryption and authentication. Familiarity with network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN is desirable. Previous experience as a pre-sales engineer, managing the end-to-end technical aspects of deals through to technical closure, is required.
