Technician Cardiology

About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Technician Cardiology to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for assisting healthcare professionals in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with cardiovascular conditions. The role requires a combination of technical skills, medical knowledge, and patient care expertise to ensure the efficient operation of the cardiology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG), stress tests, Holter monitoring, and echocardiograms under supervision.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining relevant medical history.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to support procedures and ensure smooth patient care flow.
• Assess patient educational needs and interact with relevant staff to facilitate requirements.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, diagnostic procedures, and lifestyle changes.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families, ensuring understanding of discharge instructions and follow-up care.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
• Accurately record test results, patient information, and other relevant data in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory documentation requirements.
• Ensure cardiology equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols and implement safety measures to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
• Identify and report defective equipment, safety hazards, and environmental hazards.

Work Environment
