About the Role

Applus+ is seeking a Vendor E&I Inspector for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for conducting Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) vendor inspection and quality surveillance for Oil & Gas construction projects. The inspector will ensure that electrical installations, instrumentation, calibration, and inspection activities adhere to approved specifications, codes, standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform E&I vendor inspection activities for Oil & Gas construction projects.
Inspect high-voltage electrical installations, switchgear, electrical drives, and hazardous area installations.
Monitor electrical and instrumentation installation activities to ensure compliance with approved requirements.
Inspect and verify instrument calibration for ultrasonic flow meters, level, temperature, pressure transmitters, and other process instrumentation.
Review E&I inspection, testing, calibration, and quality documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable BS, IEC, ISO, API, ATEX, EEMUA, and client standards.
Monitor adherence to construction standards, quality requirements, health & safety regulations, and applicable legislation.
Identify quality deviations and support corrective actions as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a comparable E&I inspection role, with a total experience range of 5-10 years.
Mandatory experience in Oil & Gas construction projects.
Experience with HV electrical installations, switchgear, electrical drives, and hazardous area installations.
Experience in calibration and inspection of flow, level, temperature, pressure, and process instrumentation.
Proven QM Vendor Experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation inspection requirements.
Working knowledge of BS, IEC, ISO, API, ATEX, EEMUA, and client-specific codes and standards.
Knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice, applicable E&I regulations, HSE requirements, and quality inspection procedures.
