Advanced Project Engineer Cybersecurity & Networks

About the Role

Honeywell (KSA) is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer - Cybersecurity & Networks to join their team in Dhahran. This full-time position is responsible for delivering network and cybersecurity engineering activities across industrial projects.

Role Context and Scope

This role is central to ensuring reliable and secure system performance throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, commissioning, and customer handover. The Advanced Project Engineer will engage directly with customers on specific design details for non-standard solutions and provide technical coaching and mentoring to assistant engineers. The position supports project implementation aligned with P&AS objectives, aiming for continuous improvement in margins, customer satisfaction, schedules, working capital, and safety performance. Site travel may be required for up to 70% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure required prerequisites (design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place before work begins.
• Produce parts of functional and detailed design specifications.
• Execute work assignments in accordance with applicable standards and quality systems, including implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Coach and support assigned assistant engineers to ensure they meet work requirements.
• Monitor and control the assigned work scope against the project plan.
• Communicate effectively with customers to fully define and agree on project requirements.
• Proactively recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
• Share technical knowledge with the project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines.
• Report progress, technical problems, and changes to the project lead engineer or principal engineer.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be measured on their ability to maintain customer centricity, avoiding escalations related to the quality of system designs and applications. Additionally, performance will be assessed on productivity and project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with project operations methodologies and utilizing available tools effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in network and cybersecurity engineering, specifically within industrial projects. This includes practical experience with network architecture, device configuration, system integration, security hardening, risk assessment, and compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards.
