About the Role

Sinopec Tech Middle East is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for ensuring that all oilfield drilling and completion tools, whether newly produced or maintained in the workshop, adhere to stringent quality and technical standards. The Quality Inspector will play a key role in verifying product conformity and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies, requiring the ability to interpret engineering drawings and utilize precision measurement tools. This position involves identifying non-conformities, assisting with root cause analysis, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to maintain compliance with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection standards.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of drilling and completion tools, components, and assemblies.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, wear, corrosion, or other quality concerns.
  • Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and thread measurement devices, to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
  • Record, document, and report inspection findings, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action requests.
  • Assist in the analysis of defects and failures to support root cause investigation and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with company QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and customer specifications.
  • Support calibration management and ensure all inspection instruments are properly maintained and traceable.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in quality inspection, preferably within the oilfield drilling and completion tools sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using various precision measurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, within the Eastern region. The role involves working closely with production and engineering teams in a workshop environment.
