About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Technician- Painter to join their team in Medina. This full-time position involves applying various finishes to property surfaces and furniture, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and post relevant paint signs.
Clean up and properly store paint, tools, and equipment.
Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.

Operational and Safety Duties

Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests professionally.
Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
Support the team in achieving common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Capability to move up and down a ladder.
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
