About the Maintenance Helper Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Helper to join our team in Medina, Almadinah Almunawwarah. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing a variety of minor repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. The role also involves upholding safety standards and providing professional service to guests.

Key Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains and toilets, and fixing leaky stoppers or faucets.
• Execute various minor repairs such as adjusting toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and repairing holes in walls.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to ensure proper function.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Safety and Operational Compliance

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards across all tasks.

Guest Service and Team Collaboration

• Receive and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities as required.
• Communicate with guests and colleagues using clear and professional language.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional at all times.

Physical Demands of the Role

• Perform physical tasks such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds or less without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing more than 100 pounds (*, air conditioning units, televisions, dressers).
• Ascend and descend regular stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• No related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
