About the Social Media Specialist Role

Paradox Events & Marketing & Production KSA | QA | UAE is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site position will be based at Knowledge Economic City (KEC), a prominent mixed-use destination in Saudi Arabia. The specialist will serve as the primary liaison between the KEC Marketing team and our broader social media team, focusing on identifying, capturing, and effectively sharing stories, events, projects, and milestones across the destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the daily point of contact for the KEC Marketing team.
• Attend meetings, coordinate content requests and approvals, and manage timelines.
• Identify newsworthy projects, events, launches, and milestones within KEC.
• Coordinate content shoots, scheduling, site access, and necessary permissions.
• Provide live social media coverage during events and activations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, tenants, and partners.
• Gather information, updates, and creative assets for content development.
• Monitor online conversations and coordinate responses in accordance with approved guidelines.
• Escalate sensitive matters as required.
• Track content performance and contribute to weekly and monthly reports.

Candidate Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or communications.
• Native-level Arabic writing skills and fluency in English.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desired Experience and Attributes

• Agency experience is considered an advantage.
• Confidence in working with marketing teams and senior leadership.
• Sound judgment regarding tone, cultural sensitivity, and the significance of Madinah.
• Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently with a remote wider team.
• Experience in destination marketing, real estate, hospitality, tourism, government brands, live events, on-ground content coverage, or influencer coordination is an advantage.

Work Environment and Reporting

This is a full-time, on-site position based at the KEC offices in Madinah. Regular presence across various KEC sites will be required. The Social Media Specialist will report directly to the Account Director and will work closely with the KEC Marketing team. Flexibility to support events, activations, and launches outside standard working hours is necessary, and occasional travel within Saudi Arabia may be required.
