As a Laundry Attendant, you play a vital role in maintaining the luxury standards expected by our business, guests, and colleagues. You will ensure that all hotel guest laundry is handled quickly and efficiently, adhering to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate in a friendly, professional manner with guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
Provide information regarding the hotel's facilities and services.
Maintain a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.
Be flexible with job responsibilities to meet business needs.
Care for the environment by keeping it tidy and well-maintained.
Report all incidents, accidents, and guest complaints.
Conduct linen and uniform inventory with the Housekeeping Storekeeper.
Issue uniforms and maintain washing records for staff.
Manage lost and found items in the guest laundry.
Supervise key handling procedures to ensure security.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
Understanding of laundry operations.
Ability to communicate in English; Arabic is a plus.
Positive attitude and commitment to high standards.
Willingness to learn and adapt to a wellness-driven environment.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift or carry items up to 25 kg.
Extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and stair climbing.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

Primarily indoors in a hotel/resort environment with a focus on mindfulness and environmental sustainability.
Engage in a fast-paced environment with teamwork and collaboration.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to become a vital part of our team at Jumeirah, a renowned leader in luxury hospitality. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of laundry service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Sort and categorize various types of laundry, including guest clothing, linens, and staff uniforms.
Inspect guest clothing for stains or damage and utilize appropriate cleaning agents for effective stain removal.
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer's guidelines.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness through thorough washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
Conduct quality control checks on laundered items prior to delivery.
Manage inventory levels accurately and notify supervisors of replenishment needs.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

A High School Diploma or Certificate.
1 – 2 years of experience in the international hospitality industry.
Proficiency in English.
Strong attention to detail.
Intermediate software competencies.
